STEM Education

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics

In order to motivate our students to study STEM in Oswego City School District, we must increase the understanding of the impact science, technology, esngineering and mathematics (STEM) can have on society, culture and students' futures.

This site will link you to resources that may motivate students to study STEM courses and pursue STEM related careers. One special program we offer at the Oswego High School is Project Lead the Way.

Project Lead the Way

Project Lead the Way is a nationally recognized pre-engineering sequence designed to provide skills, knowledge and experience needed for successful completion of a college level engineering or related program. Through a cooperative arrangement, students completing Project Lead the Way will also be eligible to graduate from the Oswego City School District with 16 college level credits from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Oswego encourages female students to participate in this program due to significant college and job related opportunities that are available to them. The first course in this sequence is Design and Drawing for Production. Students will also gain exposure to one of the most advanced computer and productions labs in any high school.
