OMS Student Council Celebrates Local First Responders, Officials

Oswego Middle School eighth-graders Ethan Hotaling-Whithey and Evan Caroccio pose with members of the Oswego Police Department last week. The OMS Student Council delivered baked goods to the police station along with other city departments to show their appreciation for the work done each day to keep the community safe.The Oswego Middle School Student Council showed their appreciation to City of Oswego officials and employees last week with a hand-delivery of homemade baked goods.
Representatives of the Student Council made in-person stops to the Oswego Fire Department, Oswego Police Department and office of Oswego Mayor Billy Barlow, presenting police officers, firefighters and city hall staff with a tray of cookies and hand-written card.
“Our students recognize that these are the men and women who are working each day to make our community safer and we wanted to show them we appreciate them during the holiday time,” said OMS Principal Mary Beth Fierro.
