2000 - INTERNAL OPERATIONS

BOARD OF EDUCATION ACTIVITIES
2350 Information Seeking

A Board Member, in seeking information from the District, needs to submit a written request to the Superintendent of Schools. The Superintendent or his/her designee will have five (5) business days to provide the requested information.

 

         If the information requested cannot be provided within five (5) business days, a written response from the Superintendent to the Board Member requesting the information will be sent indicating why the information is not available and a time indicating when it will be forthcoming.

 

         If the Board Member is not satisfied with the Superintendent's response, the Board Member should bring his request to the entire Board. The Board should be provided with the rationale from both parties. Depending on the nature of the request, the Board may choose to seek legal advice before making a determination. A minimum of four (4) Board Members is needed in order for the request to be honored.
