The district offers the services of many professionals to address the needs of our students. The staff is comprised of school counselors, school social workers, mental health professionals and clinicians (staff) who work in concert with our students to address social emotion and academic needs.
The staff uses their professional training in schools in order to support student academic success and mental health. Through our program of developmental, preventive, remedial, and responsive services, the staff addresses academic development, career development, personal/social development, and social and emotional competency.
Below is a description of the typical services provided. Variations in services may occur based on grade level and the needs of the individual student. Counseling is a confidential relationship in which the staff meets with students individually and in small groups to help them resolve or cope constructively with challenges and developmental concerns. Typical issues addressed in counseling:

- Family issues (e.g., conflict, divorce, abuse)
- Peer pressure
- Suicide
- School-related stress
- Career indecision
- Student conferences
- Crisis intervention
- Follow-up from discipline interventions
- Anger management
- Sexuality
- IEP related issues
- Academic issues
