Oswego Middle School crowns Battle of the Books winners

Alexis Izyk-Treece, McKenzie Partlow and Aurora Lawton claimed the top spot at the recent OMS Battle of the Books competitions, which serves as a precursor to the final bout at John C. Birdlebough High School at 6 p.m.Oswego Middle School has selected its school champions to represent the district at next week’s county-wide Battle of the Books.
 
Alexis Izyk-Treece, McKenzie Partlow and Aurora Lawton claimed the top spot at the recent OMS Battle of the Books competitions, which serves as a precursor to the final bout at John C. Birdlebough High School.
 
Battle of the Books challenges students to read a wide array of selected books and recall key plot or character details during sixteen 30-second rounds. Teams score points for providing correct answers and the highest scoring team moves on to the next round of competition.
