Oswego Harborfest Reveals Winning Poster Design

Oswego, NY (27 March, 2018) - Oswego Harborfest is pleased to announce that a winning design has been picked for the 2018 festival poster. The contest entries were collected in early November, and all entries were carefully deliberated. This year the festival staff sought a design that depicted many aspects of the festival, such as the fireworks and the music.

After much consideration, the team picked the design of Kristen Skinner, a senior at Oswego High School. Skinner worked under the guidance of art teacher Stacey VanCampen to create the winning design, which best encapsulated the many elements of the festival.

“I was very glad to see that a local high school student won the contest,” said Peter Myles, the executive director of Oswego Harbor Festivals, Inc. “I am sure our sponsors will be very pleased to receive a framed poster for display within their organization and I am looking forward to using the poster as a major component in our print advertising.”

This full-size poster will be posted on the official web site ( It will also be copied and framed and given to all of Harborfest’s 2018 sponsors and business members. In addition to this, the winning art work may be adapted for use on the 2018 Harborfest T-shirt, program, rack card, etc. as needed. Skinner also received a prize of $100.00.
