Women of Distinction honors for OCSD

Congratulations to incoming Charles E. Riley Elementary 5th grader Brooke Trevett and also to our beloved Michele Wink on being recognized by state Sen. Patty Ritchie as women of distinction. During a special ceremony last night in Alexandria Bay, honors were given to a total of 30 distinguished women from the region who have been trailblazers in business, academics and civic life, as well as those who have performed heroic or selfless acts, or have personally excelled against difficult odds. Brooke was honored for her continued efforts of promoting literacy throughout Oswego County and Michele was recognized posthumously for her dedication to OCSD students and the greater Oswego community. Accepting the award on Michele's behalf was her husband, Tim.
