Students to learn about substance abuse

The Oswego City School District will host an informational session on Juuls, vapes and opioids for students and their families from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 22 in the Oswego High School auditorium.
After an introduction by OCSD Superintendent Dr. Dean Goewey, an expert panel will commence with Sandra Waldron of Farnham Family Services, Lee Livermore of Upstate Poison Control, Steve Gleason of the County of Oswego Council on Alcoholism & Addictions, and a representative of the Tobacco Free Network of CNY. Students and their parental guardians will hear important information in the interactive forum on both the myths and facts of adolescent substance abuse.
