Smart Schools Bond Act

On Tuesday, July 16, the Oswego City School District presented a preliminary investment plan to utilize a portion of the money made available through the 2014 Smart Schools Bond Act. The proposal includes work to upgrade security camera hardware, add additional security cameras and replace outdated security cameras. Overall, the plan is budgeted to use $1,040,000 of the funds allocated to OCSD by New York State. The proposal must be approved by our Board of Education prior to submitting to New York State to recieve the funding.

There will be a public hearing on August 20, 2019 at 5 pm regarding the investment plan. Please see the presentation PDF for additional cost breakdown and the approval process.
