OMS Collects Food for the Community
Oswego Middle School students and staff members turned holiday fun into feeding the community. The school’s annual door decorating contest not only brought fun, creative themes for all the seventh- and eighth-grade teachers, it also garnered 924 non-perishable food items for local families in need. OMS students and staff members were encouraged to vote for their favorite decorated door by bringing in boxed side dishes, canned protein, peanut butter and jelly, and canned fruits and vegetables, among a plethora of additional items. The contest was sponsored by the OMS student council. Advisor Elisa Davis said the 8 South team won and earned a team pizza party for its efforts.
