Team Fitzhugh, FPS Exclusive Series Supports American Cancer Society's Relay For Life Event

Recently, Team Fitzhugh Morning Announcements team came together with the American Cancer Society to support this year’s Relay For Life Event to be held on June 9th at the Oswego High School track.

The Relay is celebrating twenty years and "Team Fitzhugh: Together Is Better" is proud to have a team and be part of this important and fun event!

During this week-long special FPS Exclusive, Student Leadership Council member/newscaster, Sophie Neveu had the opportunity to interview some very special guests including Danielle La Tour, Community Manager, Relay For Life. Danielle talked to students and staff about the importance of this event in our community and the positive ways funds raised from the event support those affected by cancer. Also interviewed for this FPS Exclusive were Christine Haessig, cancer survivor and former teacher at Fitzhugh, Laurie Kelly and Beth Schickling, cancer survivors and teachers at Fitzhugh, as well as former FPS student, Makayla Walker, cancer survivor.

Through this FPS Exclusive Relay For Life series, students and staff came together in a unique and special way to learn about the ways cancer affects those we know and love and what we can do to help in the fight against cancer.
