One Potato, Two Potato, Three Potato, Four

Leighton Students are planting potatoes this spring.  A lot of time and elbow grease went into preparing this garden for the growing season.  Kindergarteners and Sixth graders worked side by side to pull weeds.  Parents and teachers repaired some damaged boxes and filled them with fresh dirt. Every student will be planting a potato during the last week of school and harvesting them when they come back to school in September.  This project is a great opportunity for students to get a sense of the effort that goes into producing their food.
