Leighton Elves Spread Holiday Cheer

Gifts donated by Leighton Elves

The Leighton School Holiday Elves had another successful giving season. This year 87 (27 families) children from birth - 12th grade were provided toys, books, clothing, socks, underwear, boots, sneakers, blankets, pillows, hygiene products, winter coats, hat and mittens.

They were also provided Big M gift cards, large boxes of food and food bags from Big M. The Leighton School Christmas Project couldn’t have happened without the help of many current and former Leighton Employees. All the food, clothing, toys, and other gifts were gathered through donations from many local organizations, people and businesses.

The Leighton Holiday Elves would like to thank St. Mary’s Church Parishioners, Business and Professional Women’s Group, Oswego City School District Education Center Employees, Oswego Children’s Board, Exelon (Patti Johnson), Fitzpatrick,  Women’s Evening Torch from United Methodist Church, Ladies of the Elks, Walmart, Big M, Compass Federal Credit Union, Entergy, Ladies Auxiliary of the Elks, The Newman Center, The Hibernians, Jean Dufore and her colleagues at 301 Culkin Hall- Suny Oswego, Lindsay McCluskey and the Communications Department at Suny Oswego, Jackie Postorius and her Colleagues at Suny Oswego,  the faculty, staff and families of Leighton School, Captain Eric Zumwalt, the Wallace Family of Leighton School, and  Pat Harrington for the more than generous support of our project.
