Oswego High School Distributes Wellness Kits for Mental Health Awareness Month

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, Oswego High School has launched a new initiative to support student well-being through the distribution of 150 mental health wellness kits.

The project, led by the OHS Library in partnership with the school’s Z Club, aims to provide students with resources that encourage relaxation and emotional self-care. Each kit includes calm strips, stickers with positive affirmations, coloring pages, mini paint canvases, information on available mental health services, and a list of inspirational books found in the school library.

The initiative was made possible through a collaborative effort: the OHS Library developed the kit contents, the school administration provided funding, and members of the OHS Z Club assembled the kits.

Students can pick up a kit at one of two locations on campus, the library or the counseling office. For more information about the wellness kits or other mental health resources, students are encouraged to visit the OHS Library or speak with a school counselor.
