OMS Visited By Award-Winning Musical Act

Time For Three, a Grammy and Emmy-winning musical group recently visited students at Oswego Musical to perform, as well as discuss music, their lives in and around music, and what it’s like being a touring musician.

The trio, made up of Nicholas Kendall, Charles Yang, and Ranaan Meyer are classically trained musicians who have been around music their entire lives. They spoke with OMS students about their lives as musicians and the dedication it requires to reach such a level.

Students were captivated by several performances and were given several tips on how to grow as a musician. Students were also called upon to participate when Time For Three did an improv activity, in which students provided three random words that the trio would then create a song around.

“I really enjoyed the improv part,” said one student. “Seeing how quickly they could take just three words and turn them into a song was so impressive. I don’t know how they did that!”
