Bucs bring the spirit for Homecoming

Oswego High School kicked off its 2025 homecoming celebrations with a series of spirited events that brought students, staff and community members together for a memorable week.

Festivities began with an outdoor pep rally on the football field, where high school students gathered to celebrate fall athletics and showcase Buccaneer pride. The event featured performances from the marching band and cheerleaders, as well as introductions of sports teams and class competitions.

Later that evening, the district wide homecoming parade stepped off from Kingsford Park Elementary School and made its way through the city before arriving at Oswego High School. The parade included floats, school groups, candy and the Marching Buccaneers, drawing spectators along the route.

Immediately following the parade, the annual Buc Bowl powder puff football game was held under the lights at the high school stadium. Junior and senior girls faced off in a friendly but competitive flag football game, while the junior and senior boys served as coaches and cheerleaders. The popular homecoming tradition was met with enthusiastic support from families and classmates.

Homecoming Week concluded a few days later with the varsity football game and the annual homecoming dance, capping off a week of celebration and school spirit.
