Scenes from Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical come to life at the Oswego High School

Cast members have been working through weeks of rehearsals to perfect their lines, songs and choreography while bringing the story of the clever and courageous Matilda to the stage. The musical, based on the novel by Roald Dahl, follows a young girl who uses her intelligence, imagination and determination to stand up for what is right, delivering a powerful message about kindness and perseverance along the way.

"We chose Matilda because it celebrates the power of literacy, courage and standing up for what is right," says Ceara Windhausen, Director of the Production. "Our students have worked tirelessly to bring this magical world to life, from the gravity-defying choreography to the intricate set designs."

Students are involved in every aspect of the production, both onstage and behind the scenes. Rehearsals are held after school as students collaborate to build their performances while strengthening teamwork and confidence.
