Oswego Middle School Students Shine at Junior High All-County Band Festival

A group of talented Oswego Middle School students recently brought their musical skills to the stage at the Junior High All-County Band Festival held at Phoenix High School.

The students representing Oswego included:

Nyles Evans, eighth grade, oboe; Ellie Murray, eighth grade, flute; Helen McDonald, seventh grade, alto sax; Lillian Morse, seventh grade, trumpet; Brody Burdick, eighth grade, trumpet; Callan Appleman, seventh grade, percussion; Annaleise Wallace, eighth grade, clarinet; Jozela Kent, eighth grade, flute; Margaret Tesoriero, seventh grade, clarinet; Megan Jorgensen, seventh grade, clarinet; Ace Naracon, eighth grade, clarinet; Ben Braun, eighth grade, percussion; Jacob Schirtz, eighth grade, trombone.
Selection for the Junior High All-County Band is highly competitive, based on auditions held this past November. After just a few hours of rehearsal, these young musicians delivered an impressive and polished performance.

The festival gave students the opportunity to connect with peers from across the county, share their love of music, and celebrate their dedication and hard work. Experiences like this empower and engage students, fostering collaboration, discipline and creativity while reflecting the district’s commitment to equity, excellence and its core values. By celebrating achievements and providing enriching opportunities, the Oswego City School District supports every student in reaching their full potential.
