The OCSD 2026 Budget, Proposition and Candidate Results

Oswego City School District voters headed to the polls May 19 and approved the 2026-27 budget, with 63 percent of the votes, while also voting in favor of all propositions on the ballot.

“I am grateful to the voters for supporting all ballot propositions, helping ensure we can maintain and improve the programs and services our students rely on each day,” said OCSD Superintendent Dr. Raymond Kilmer III.

Voters also cast ballots for Board of Education candidates. With three open seats, Julie Chetney, Sean Callen and James MacKenzie were all elected.

MacKenzie was sworn in May 20 and will finish an open term expiring June 30. That seat had been filled in the interim by Dave Crisafulli through May 19.

Beginning July 1, MacKenzie, Chetney and Callen will begin full three-year terms, concluding June 30, 2029.

In the Library Board election, three seats were open and three candidates sought election. Eve Phillips, Jennifer Carr and Erik Wade were elected, in order of votes received.
