WELCOMEHello Oswego Students and FamiliesTo OHS Parents I want to offer many thanks to you and your children for your continued patience and understanding during this difficult time. We are working hard to make sure your child has what they need to continue to maintain their academic skills, have access to breakfast and lunch, and remain in contact with their school community. This crisis involves working within national, state, and local mandates for health and safety in order to meet educational needs for all learners. I want you to know that the teachers, administrators, building staff, and community members are working together to ensure that our students have what they need to stay engaged in their learning. If you need anything please do not hesitate to reach out to me at the main office--(315) 341-2200; we are here to help! Please know you are not alone and you are not expected to be perfect or have all the answers. We are all learning together how to navigate this stressful time. To OHS Students I miss greeting you all at the door in the morning and seeing you in the halls. I miss checking in with classes and learning about what you are doing that day. I miss seeing the fantastic teaching and learning that goes on in the classroom here at OHS. Please know that it has not gone away--it just looks and feels different right now. Many students are worried about grades, school activities, how the school year is going, and what it will look like for the rest of the school year. Unfortunately, I do not have those answers for you right now. What I can promise --is that as information becomes available it will be communicated to you. For now, my advice to you is to continue doing the best you can do EACH AND EVERY day! Continue to reach out to others as you are able (communicate with your teachers, administrators, counselors, etc.,) set goals and work to reach them. This is a time of uncertainty but also an opportunity for reflection and personal growth. I am confident in your ability to come out of this experience stronger and having learned a great deal about yourselves. Stay safe and stay Strong BUCS! Mr. Wallace |
