Mrs. Carroll

Mrs. Barbara Carroll, MS

School Counselor- Alpha Split A-DE

As a licensed, professional school counselor for the past 22 years, I have been employed in my current position since 2003 and I worked at Auburn High school from 1999-2003.  As a class of 1989 Oswego High school alum, I always knew I wanted to come back to my alma mater and once again be proud to be a Buccaneer.  Prior to earning my counseling degree, I worked for the Department of Social Services as a caseworker.  It was the time that I spent as a school based caseworker that made me realize my passion was working directly with the students in the school setting.  My counseling philosophy is student-centered and solution focused.  I follow a comprehensive counseling program that addresses academic, career and personal/social development for all students.  I have been married to Pat Carroll for 23 years and we have 2 wonderful children, Joan and Austin.  I enjoy watching them play sports and spending time with family and friends. I have enjoyed coaching soccer and softball at different levels for over 20 years. I like to stay physically and mentally fit through exercise and nutrition.  I love outdoor activities such as walking/running, biking, swimming, hiking and kayaking. I also enjoy traveling to Florida to visit family and enjoy the warm weather.
